Front Cover19 viewsThe Front Cover uses a picture I took during the recital that I was recording. The day was perfect for an outdoor recital, held in the gazebo at a popular Columbus park.

Label15 viewsThe label uses the same elements as the Front Cover.

Front Cover10 viewsBill provided some "old time" pictures to array around the cover. We used the same main picture as in the Christmas project.

Front Cover9 viewsThe individual elements of this design, including the text blocks, were provided by the customer. I repositioned things as needed to present a balanced appearance in the square CD-cover format.

Front Cover8 viewsThe band provided me with this photo that they took out at the Columbus airport. All I did was crop the photo and add some text!

Label6 viewsCareful placement and lots of sky area emphasized the uplifting nature of the original image.

Back Cover6 viewsI reused the cover photo on the back, with the opacity lowered a bit so it would be less prominent (and less distracting) here. The diagonal song listing was an attempt to convey a dynamic "in flight" concept.

Label6 viewsI used this dramatic silhouette on the label to emphasize the rhythmic nature of the band's music.

Front Cover6 viewsI went to the restaurant during the day and got some pictures of the exterior to use on the front cover. It looked rather prosaic as it was so I applied some effects in Photoshop Elements. It's hard to tell here, but I secretly added images of some of the bands fans to the posters in the front window!

CD Label5 viewsJust a reworking of the front cover for the label. The weird presentation here was the only file I could find of the label, sorry.

Back Cover4 viewsA straightforward song listing.

Front Cover4 viewsSince the CD was instructional in nature, I decided to use a "learning to dance" motif in the cover art, hence the title. The dance diagram on the cover is actually a work by Andy Warhol, entitled "Dance Diagram," which I shamelessly grabbed off the Web. I wanted to include some people, so I put in the little folks you see down in the corner. This element also helped balance the composition of the cover.
